Enjoy a special screening of “Star Wars, The Force Awakens,” and live entertainment with Hawaiian Idol Contestant Dion’e Tamure
HONOLULU – Enjoy an evening of entertainment for the whole family at the Hawai‘i Convention Center’s (HCC) free, monthly entertainment series on Sat., June 4, 2016.
Residents and visitors alike are invited to enjoy an evening of entertainment. This month’s edition features live performances by 2015 Hawaiian Idol Contestant Dion’e Tamure and Tropical Passion. Delicious culinary creations and one-of-a-kind handmade crafts will be available at the Sunset Mele Market Place. There will also be a special screening of “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” beginning at 6:30 p.m. in HCC’s Kalākaua Ballroom.
“We are so excited to kick off the start of summer with our Star Wars themed Sunset Mele on the Rooftop. We are encouraging all guests to come in costume, dressed up as their favorite Star Wars character,” said Teri Orton, HCC general manager.
Local artisans will feature beautifully handmade arts and crafts available for purchase at the Sunset Mele Marketplace.
The schedule of activities for the evening is as follows:
4:30 p.m. Doors open, event begins, featuring the Sunset Mele Market Place food booths, artisans and more
5:00 p.m. Live entertainment by Dion’e Tamure – 2015 Hawaiian Idol
Contestant
5:30 p.m. Live entertainment by Tropical Passion
6:30 p.m. Screening of the feature film, “Star Wars: The Force Awakens”
9:00 p.m. Event pau (finished)
Admission to “Sunset Mele on the Rooftop” is free. Parking at the Hawai‘i Convention Center for the event is $5 per vehicle. Outside food, beverages and coolers will not be allowed, however, guests are welcome to bring low beach chairs, mats and blankets.
