Springing Into Action This April

We enter another eventful month filled with fun events and new conventions this April. There was also a lot of first-time events to the Center including The Mom Made Market which kicked off the month last April 2- 3, 2016. This 2-day craft fair welcomed mothers and business owners who showcased their crafts and is also a fundraiser for moms in need. It welcomed 1,700 local attendees and about 200 exhibitors.

Next was the popular Kawaii Kon, comic and anime convention from April 7 – 10, 2016. Since their first convention in 2005, Kawaii Kon has grown to include thousands of annual attendees, welcoming an estimated 12,000 attendees this year!

Lastly, we would also like to congratulate Hawai‘i Tourism Japan for a successful Hawai‘i Summit held last April 12 – 13, 2016. Travel agents from Japan were invited to Hawai‘i learn more about the destination and activities as well as to connect with Hawaii Partners. We hope that this inaugural summit was helpful to both the travel agents and local Hawaii partners and look forward to working with them again in the near future!
