Donning their customized “2010 PestWorld” aloha shirts designed especially for the convention, thousands of industry participants from around the world gathered at the Hawai`i Convention Center from October 20-23, 2010, to see the latest products, services, technologies, and business applications in the pest-management industry.
The National Pest Management Association’s annual conference is the largest pest-management industry tradeshow in the world, and is the place to be for industry networking, education, products, and research. The Hawai`i Convention Center was happy to welcome the group back – they last met here in 2004.
In addition to their signature Bug Store, conference highlights included a special one-day “Bed Bugs 101” workshop, as well as pre-conference sessions held on Maui and the Big Island. “The packed educational sessions and keynote addresses and the well-attended special events demonstrate the industry’s desire for an event with an emphasis on learning and networking,” said NPMA Executive Vice President Rob Lederer. “This year’s event provided sales leads and nurtured existing client relationships for companies operating within the pest management industry.”
The NPMA, a non-profit organization with more than 7,000 members, was established in 1933 to support the pest management industry’s commitment to the protection of public health, food, and property.
