The Hawai`i Convention Center Welcomes NYSAE to Hawai`i

On Sept. 30, 2010, board members from the New York Society of Association Executives (NYSAE) gathered for a meeting and reception at the Hawai`i Convention Center.

The Hawai`i Convention Center welcomed members of the New York Society of Association Executives (NYSAE) on Sept. 30, 2010, for a meeting and reception. Their decision to hold their board meeting and retreat in Hawai`i is a direct result of the partnership formed earlier this year with NYSAE. HCC representatives visited New York City in March to attend NYSAE’s MeetNY client/customer showcase, where qualified executives and planners were invited to attend complimentary events.

HCC’s partnership with NYSAE puts Hawai`i at the forefront of the New York metropolitan and tri-state area, which is the third-largest association market in the United States and a key market for Hawai`i as a destination.

NYSAE is made up of the top associations headquartered in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut. NYSAE members headquartered in the New York area alone employ more than 130,000 people and handle more than $5 billion a year in meeting and convention spending.
