Sweet Adelines International is an organization of women singers committed to advancing the musical art form of barbershop harmony through education and performance. More than 5,000 a cappella vocalists will be in Honolulu Nov. 5-9 to sing for you at the Hawai`i Convention Center!
Neyla Pekarek, cellist/vocalist for the Grammy-nominated band The Lumineers, started out in a winning Sweet Adelines International quartet! Vogue quartet was the 2010 Rising Star International Champion. See their winning performance and come to the LIVE performances to see the next big stars!
Ms. Pekarek will be in attendance the entire week doing public performances with top quartets, visiting a Honolulu high school, meeting and greeting, and participating as a celebrity judge.
All competition sessions and the Harmony Bazaar exhibition are open to the public. In addition, there will be sporadic performances at venues like Kahala Mall, Waikiki Beach Walk Stage, and Ala Moana Center. Tickets can be purchased from the Sweet Adelines International ticket office at the Hawai`i Convention Center Exhibit Hall 3 starting Monday, Nov. 4 at 2:00 pm.
