Hawaii Pops Debuts at the Hawai`i Convention Center
Hawaii Pops, Hawaii’s first independent pops organization led by artistic director Matt Catingub, opened its season at the Hawai`i Convention Center on Saturday, September 14, with a classic Hollywood nightclub feel. The first of the “Orchestra Series” featured a concert with country music superstar Jo Dee Messina, dinner, and dancing at the Center’s Ballroom.
The Orchestra Series will take place once a month until May 31, 2014. The next show is on October 20 featuring “The Songs of Bond…James Bond” with a special guest appearance by Sheena Easton.
